About The Instructor:

Nivedhan is an audio engineer, educator, salesperson, and activist. His recent work includes: Manager of Education and Community Engagement at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. Senior Program Direction with music education nonprofit, Notes for Notes (two years of virtual music lesson experience). Sound Design and Community Engagement for the award-winning Nashville Repertory Theatre, and audio post-production for film & music with his record label, Bedlam Sound. One of the most sought after theatre sound designers in Nashville, his award-winning productions have been featured throughout the city for thousands of audience members per year. He is an experienced music educator and taught a Digital Music Production course of his own design at Concord Academy for three years where he continues to instruct their Music Tech summer program. His short film, Nivedhan: An Animated Short (2019) is used regularly by Harvard’s Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum. The film has been featured in academic conferences throughout the USA and in public school curriculums throughout New England. He earned his B.M. in Sound Recording Technologies from Ithaca College in 2014. He is the lead singer and founding member of the musical groups Sleep Away Camp, Sex Habits, and has several self-titled solo releases. He has recorded musical artists like Reba McEntire, Bad Brains, and Rich Robinson (of The Black Crowes). He co-hosts and produces the podcast Emotionally Available. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee and works to make the performing arts a profoundly positive influence in the lives of underserved students and communities.
